Corey Kispert scored 32 points, Drew Timme had 29 and No.. 1 Gonzaga won 98-75 against No.. 16 Virginia at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

Kispert posted a career high in the 11-of-15 shooting for the Bulldogs. The senior from Edmonds, Washington, also set a school record with nine 3-pointers made.

Timme, who also had a high-scoring career, had eight rebounds on his return to Texas. The second striker attended Richardson High School.

Kihei Clark led Virginia with 19 points. Trey Murphy III had 15 points and Sam Hauser had 10 points.

The Cavaliers spun the ball 15 times over a season high that Gonzaga converted into 27 points.

Gonzaga rookie Jalen Suggs finished on eight points after failing to score in the first half. The point guard added seven rebounds and six assists.

The Zags were five minutes ahead of 10 points and led by 10 plus points in the last 30 minutes of the game.

Gonzaga returns to action on Monday when Northern Arizona takes place at the McCarthey Athletic Center.

Andrew Nembhard fell off the bench and scored seven points for Gonzaga in 3-of-3. Point guard Jalen Suggs is 0 of 4 out of the field but has five assists.
