The East Oakland Stadium Alliance (EOSA) is looking for an Oakland-based grassroots organizer for a short-term engagement to help grow and mobilize our coalition! We are comprised of local businesses, workers, labor organizations and community members, and we are deeply concerned about Oakland A’s proposal to leave the Coliseum in East Oakland and build a new stadium in the harbor. An ideal candidate would have local experience, a strong awareness of the political figures of Oakland and Alameda Counties, and strong relationships with the communities in East and West Oakland. Being an Oakland resident is a plus.
Employment at EOSA is part-time and lasts at least four months, with the possibility of a longer extension. Transportation and cell phone use are reimbursed, and color candidates are encouraged to apply.
If you are interested, please send a cover letter and continue Emily Penrod, Emily. penrod @ deweysquare. com. For more information on EOSA, please visit our website and Twitter @AllianceOakland.
