World News – USA – The death of Tanya Roberts leads to numerous tributes to the star of « That 70s Show »

The death of Tanya Roberts, the actress who played Midge Pinciotti on the sitcom That’ 70s Show and Stacey Sutton in the James Bond movie A Look at a Kill with Roger Moore has caused a storm on social media triggered by honors and condolences.

Her death was announced on Sunday in a message from her publicist Mike Pingel on the official Tanya Roberts fan page on Facebook that read, « I’m very sad to have to post this. Yes, Tanya died today. I have lovesickness. « 

Roberts is due to be released on Jan.. Collapsed while walking her dogs on December 12 and was admitted to Cedar Sinar Hospital in Los Angeles.

No cause of death was given, but her death was not reported to be related to COVID-19. Roberts, 65 years old, was not sick in the days before her death.

Pingel said to The Hollywood Reporter, « I’m devastated. She was brilliant and beautiful and I feel like a light has been taken away. Saying she was an angel would be high on the list.

« She was the cutest person you have ever met and had a big heart. She loved her fans and I don’t think she realized how much she meant to them, « Pingel added.

Several public figures have shared messages of condolence and tribute on Twitter in memory of the late actress.

George Pennachio, a reporter for ABC 7 in Los Angeles, wrote in a post on Sunday: « R. . I. P. . to actress Tanya Roberts. She died today at the age of 65. No reason given, just that it was unrelated to COVID-19. Tanya played & on the final season of ‘Charlie’s Angels’, which later appeared on the ‘That’ 70s show. « Was also a Bond girl opposite Roger Moore in » A View To A Kill « . «

Actor Jon Donahue shared pictures of movie posters for A View To A Kill and Sheena, which also featured Roberts, in a post titled « Rest In Peace #TanyaRoberts #AViewToAKill #Sheena ». « 

Musician Pete Yorn shared a link to the IMDB page for The Beastmaster, the 1982 film that also starred Roberts.
