As President Donald Trump continues to question his election loss and raise money from supporters, his 2020 campaign headquarters has basically been closed.
Most of the billboards have been removed from the Northern Virginia office, the desks and memorabilia have been wrapped or thrown away, and the wall-mounted televisions are being sold for extra cash, The Daily Tier reported.
« It’s a ghost town now, with people waiting for the end, » said one person familiar with campaign operations.
The election fraud hotline set up after polling night was shut down last month after being inundated with crank calls and violent threats, and a Daily Beast reporter saw no one walk in or out for over an hour on Sunday afternoon.
The campaign is still big money, but its activities have largely traced its back to buying ads promoting the idea that Trump’s loss was due to election fraud. However, two of these ads have already been removed from YouTube for violating election disinformation guidelines.
Jason Miller, a senior Trump campaign advisor, dismissed claims from sources that campaign operations had been shut down as a « stupid watch. ». ”
