The No.. 7 Wisconsin Badgers (1-0) are back in action on Friday evening at the Kohl Center against the Golden Lions of Arkansas Pine-Bluff (0-1). . Wisconsin won its season opener against Eastern Illinois (77-67), while the Golden Lions (99-57) were blown out by the Marquette Golden Eagles.
UAPB battled Marquette’s size as three tall men fouled and Theo John of the Golden Eagles bottomed out with 13 points, 12 rebounds and five punches. One could reasonably expect Nate Reuvers and Micah Potter to have great games too.
This game is likely to be an opportunity to get to know Wisconsin’s younger players as well. Ben Carlson and Jonathan Davis both looked good on their UW debut against EIU, but it would be nice to see more of Steven Crowl, Carter Gilmore and Joe Hedstrom.
