The battle for Los Angeles will resume on Saturday when USC visits a UCLA group aiming to avenge a 66:48 loss in February.
UCLA has at least 74 points in four of their last five games achieved. The Bruins achieved 51.6 percent of their field goals on this stretch and achieved an average of 66.5 possessions per game. This makes them one of the slowest 25 teams in the country during this period.
USC has been solid on defense all season, ranking 25th for the fewest points awarded per possession this season. UCLA was significantly better at home defense, dropping 11.8 fewer points per 100 possessions in the Pauley Pavilion.
The strength of the Trojans controls the color as they relate to the 2-point shooting rate of the Opponents rank third in the country and eleventh in terms of rebound rate and blocks per game. The Mobley brothers control the boards for USC, with Evan scoring 8.5 rebounds per game and Isaiah 7.7 rebounds per game.
UCLA allows opponents to score only 18.3 percent of their misses in home games which ranks 20th nationwide. USC is in 24th place in the fewest free throws allowed per field goal attempt and has allowed 73 points or less in 23 of its 25 games. So the total should end up similar to the matchup in February: Under.
