The Milwaukee Bucks welcomed the Los Angeles Clippers to the Fiserv Forum on Sunday afternoon for a battle between two of the best NBAs. The competition was the first time Giannis Antetokounmpo competed against the dynamic duo of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George this season.
The bucks led by five points into halftime, despite a slow start for both teams from the field. After a fiery third quarter from the Clippers, the teams entered the fourth suspended game in a close game.
Giannis stuffed the statistic sheet again thanks to a tough effort at both ends of the floor. But it was one game in particular that received consecutive MVP recognition on Sunday.
With the Clippers by five points and on the offensive, center Ivica Zubac caught the ball on a roll to the basket. On the way downhill and with momentum, he rose sharply with two hands and was hit on the edge of Antetokounmpo. Giannis blocked the ball tightly, preventing a surefire bucket for Zubac.
Giannis props should have the guts to challenge the seven-foot, 240-pound clipper moving at full speed. The fact that the Bucks striker made the game showed incredible strength.
The block was one of four Antetokounmpo won in Sunday’s win over Los Angeles. He also poured 37 points out of the field on 15 of 27 while dropping 14 rebounds. The Bucks did well on the track, stifling the Clippers offensive in the final minutes, scooping the 103-100 victory.
Giannis is also a dominant force in Milwaukee in 2021 as he campaigned for his third MVP -Price starts in a row. If he can pull out a few more showstopper dunks and the bucks keep winning games, he might be on the right track.
