How old is Shalom Brune-Franklin and who did she play in Our Girl? Here’s what we know about the Line of Duty actress …
After months of delays due to the coronavirus pandemic, Line of Duty is finally back on our screens.
In season six, Superintendent Ted Hastings (Adrian Dunbar), Detective Inspector Kate Fleming (Vicky McClure) and Detective Sergeant Steve Arnott (Martin Compston) return to AC-12.
But this time there are also some new characters working for the anti-corruption department, including Chloe Bishop.
So who is playing Chloe and where have you seen her? Here’s what we know:
Little is known about the new character, but her introduction to the team was announced in a fictional letter from AC-12 boss Ted Hastings.
It read: « I’m writing to you, to inform you that DC Chloe Bishop (Shalom Brune-Franklin) will join AC-12 to help with their important work on a difficult upcoming case. This action will take effect immediately.
“The AC-12’s top priority will always be the detection of bent copper. With that in mind, we have requested and received an extension of an additional episode for our next series, making it our longest yet.
“This extension ensures that we can properly and thoroughly investigate organized criminal activity when we are soon return for our sixth outing to BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
« In the meantime, footage from DI Denton’s case will be replayed weekly on BBC One starting Saturday, February 6th at 9pm to see AC -12 Diesel sucks. «
The actress was born in St. Albans to a Mauritian mother and an English father who was born in Thailand. She moved to Mullaloo, Australia at the age of 14.
She starred alongside Hugh Laurie in Roadkill and in the Netflix fantasy series Cursed last year.
When Shalom discussed her latest role, she recently announced that that she didn’t tell anyone about her audition for Line of Duty.
« Everyone waiting for the audition was humming. When I found out that DC Bishop was a new member of AC-12, my excitement went through the roof, « she told Radio Times.
She added, » I didn’t tell anyone I was ready for the role because my friends and family started interrogating me. «
