The Butler Bulldogs and Xavier Musketeers meet at Madison Square Garden college basketball on Wednesday.

In the 93:73 loss to Creighton last weekend, Butler’s Chuck Harris led the team with 29 points, six rebounds and four assists. Bryce Golden scored 19 points with two rebounds and Myles Tate had 11 points with four assists and three rebounds.
Over on the Xavier side, they hit a pretty solid 11-2 record in their first 13 games (in the middle of a series of displacements). Since then, however, the Musketeers are only 2-5. They lost to Georgetown and Marquette in their last pair.
In the 66:59 loss to Marquette, Xavier’s Paul Scruggs scored 18 points with six rebounds and three assists. Adam Kunkel added 11 points with two rebounds and three assists, and CJ Wilcher had 10 points with one rebound and one assist.
The Musketeers have 5-2 ATS in their last seven Wednesday games and 2 in their last seven games -5 ATS. Xavier is 5-2 ATS in their last seven after an ATS loss and the under is 3-1-1 in their last five total.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs have 46- in their last 69 neutral game games. 21-2 ATS and 3-0-1 in their last four Wednesday games. The under is 6-1-1 in Butler’s last eight after an ATS loss and 3-0-1 in their last four after a direct loss.
PICK: I’ll be staying here with Xavier. The last two meetings of these teams were both musketeer victories: 68-55 on January 30th and 63-51 on February 21st. Xavier hasn’t scored well since then, with 68 points or less in three of the last four. Even so, the Bulldogs have been fighting on the scoreboard themselves lately. If Xavier can get off to a good start in this tournament matchup, the cover should be up for grabs.
