Ahmet Oner, promoter of super middleweight competitor Avni Yildrim, is confident that his boxer will get a massive surprise when he competes against WBC, WBA world champion Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.

The Contest has a contract for February 27th in Miami, Florida. The event will be carried out by the DAZN streaming service.

Yildirm’s training camp is already coming together with head coach Joel Diaz, who will be traveling this weekend.

« Yes, everything is fine on my part, » said Oner to Sky Sports. « I’m waiting for the contract to be returned. Everything has been agreed verbally, I think we’re just waiting to get the contract back. He [Yildirim] is excited. We expect everything to be ready in the next 10 days. His trainer Joel Diaz, We agreed that he will arrive, he will fly to Turkey on Sunday. «

Canelo was in Texas last month when he dominated Callum Smith in twelve rounds undefeated for the WBA and WBC Conquer porters.

Although Smith was a much bigger fighter physically, he was unable to handle Canelo’s pressure.

According to Oner, his boxer will fight in the same way as Gennadiy Golovkin, the Has fought twice with Canelo – both competitions are close.

« The styles are different, Avni is more of a Golovkin-style fighter, » said Oner when assessing Smith’s portrayal.

« Avni has one too excellent punch and i think he will try more Callum Smith ha t tried nothing in my opinion. He disappointed even though he played the 12 rounds, but it was a one-sided fight. Nothing against Smith, maybe the pressure was too great, maybe it was short-term, I don’t know.

« Avni is on a two-year hiatus, but I think he’s fresher now. The deadline is close, February 27th , Never say no to a world title fight. We’ll do a good job and I trust Avni. «  »
