A man is in police custody after he allegedly injured a teenage girl with a crossbow inside an Aldi in Ipswich, Queensland.

Police arrest a man they say was brandishing a bow and arrow inside a supermarket in the Ipswich suburb of Booval, after a teenage girl was injured with an arrow on Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the incident, which came to a head at the Aldi store on South Station Road in Booval on Tuesday afternoon, did not immediately appear to be a targeted attack.
