Disgruntled workers have protested wages outside Harvey Norman's stores as the retailer clings to JobKeeper benefits despite rising profits.

About 100 people protested outside Harvey Norman in Hobart to support ACTU's submission for a raise, reports Sam Wainwright.

After skyrocketing sales during the pandemic, the retailer's chairman and co-founder Gerry Harvey said he had never seen anything like it.
