Mason Greenwood started the season in brilliant form, scoring three goals in their first five games and the 19-year-old is apparently one of the first names on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s roster.
Greenwood’s scoring start to the season came from a central role, but since the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, the exciting youngster has returned to his familiar role on the right.
The change of position came at the expense of the summer signing of Jadon Sancho, who started two games but both on the left.
Greenwood was banned from England’s World Cup qualifiers last month and manager Gareth Southgate opened up the decision, arguing that his best interests are in his heart after talks with Manchester United.
According to reports, the teenager will also be banned from next month’s internationals following a request from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. So says the Daily Mail, which claims the Norwegian boss asked England to postpone its return to the international stage.
