Columbia, Boone County: Bars, restaurants close at 10 pm, no serving alcohol after 9 pm

Bars and restaurants will be prohibited from serving alcohol after 9:00 p. m. and they'll be ordered to close by 10:00 p. m. as part of a new order announced by Columbia and Boone County leaders on Friday. The new health order announced by Stephanie Browning, the Director of Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Service (PHHS), goes into effect at 12:00 p. m. Friday and will end on 11:59 p. m. on Sept. 17 unless extended, rescinded or modified prior to such expiration.
