New Delhi. After the third and final phase of the assembly elections in Bihar, exit polls have started coming up. In the exit poll, the NDA government led by Nitish seems to be lagging behind, while the Mahagathbandhan, which is contesting under the leadership of Tejashwi Yadav, is seen moving closer to power. If the exit poll is proved right, Tejashwi Yadav can become the Chief Minister of the state.

The majority figure in the 243-member Bihar Legislative Assembly is 122. Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad Yadav were together in the last assembly election and their alliance defeated the BJP-led alliance. A few days after forming the government, Nitish left Lalu Yadav and formed a government with the BJP.
