World news – John Barnes predicts how Roy Keane will change when he gets a Celtic job

Roy Keane would be quick to lose the dressing room at Celtic if he didn’t change his approach drastically, according to John Barnes.

The former Republic of Ireland international is one of the frontrunners for the job vacancy at Parkhead after Neil Lennon left last month.

Keane had a mixed fortune in management and enjoyed early success with Sunderland but was absent for nearly two years after stepping down as assistant manager at Nottingham Forest in June 2019.

During his absence, Keane has worked as an expert on Sky Sports many times. His tough approach and fiery analysis make him a popular figure for the home-watching crowd.

The former Manchester United captain has been unforgiving of some of the current Premier League stars during his time in the studio. And while that approach works well for the experts, former Celtic head coach Barnes believes he will fall flat in the locker room.
