GRAPEVINE, Texas (CBSDFW. COM) – Grapevine Police officers responded to a reported active threat call at Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine at around 9:00 p.m.. m. on Christmas day.
Police said they did not confirm the threat, but officers, including a SWAT team, were on hand to investigate.
A guest at the hotel sent CBS 11 a photo of a text message allegedly sent from the Great Wolf Lodge.
It asks guests to stay in their rooms because they “have become aware of an emergency situation from a guest that there may be an active shooter in the building. ”
There are no reports of injuries, but the person who reported the threat was still being searched after 11:00 PM. m. Friday.
A spokesman for Great Wolf Lodge told CBS 11 around 11:00 p.m.. m. “Law enforcement is currently at our resort looking for someone who has made statements that endanger the safety of our guests. Law enforcement agencies have not given us any evidence that this person is armed. For the safety of our guests, the resort is currently locked and we will continue to follow instructions from law enforcement agencies.
