The Queensland Fire and Rescue Services have announced that there is a bushfire in St. Mary west of Tiaro and conditions could worsen.
A dangerous fire is coming from Glenbar Road at 1:15 pm toward St. Mary State Forest and it is likely to hit St. Mary.
The current warning level for the fire is « watch and act ». However, according to QFES, people in the area must be ready to follow their plan to survive bushfires.
If people don’t have a plan, they should be willing to leave the area as the situation could quickly worsen. </ Firemen are currently fighting the fire, but QFES warns that they may not be able to protect all property and people should not expect a firefighter at their door.
QFES has recommended that people in the area get out of smoke are affected, which affects visibility and air quality.
